June 10. Beatitudes. While some lucky young people had gone to the World Youth Day a year ago the rest of the youth group had also been asked to reflect and share, ideally at home with their families.  The youth leader suggested, “The eight beatitudes are a really good place to start. You can choose your favourite one even before you start but listen carefully to the point each beatitude makes. We call them the Spirit of the Kingdom. Patrick and his mom decided to do just that over the next few weeks using the given reflections.  https://marfam.org.za/2024/06/10/beatitudes-for-families-2/

Reflect, share, scripture:  Jesus went up on the mountain and his disciples came to him. He sat down and he opened his mouth and taught them saying, “Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  ……………..”  Matthew 5:1-12.   Pope Francis: Today we have to realise that a true ecological approach becomes a social approach; it must integrate questions of justice in debates on the environment so as to hear both the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor. LS 49.  ACTION AND PRAYER.  Communicate as families on the idea and meaning today of the concept of the kingdom of God.
