May 25. Laudato Si Week.    Bruce had been a very troublesome teenager, got into drugs and dabbled a little in Satanism. His parents shared their experience in the group. Mom said, “Surely it must be our prayers of intercession that rescued him. I truly believe that and I hope that the efforts I made on behalf of my son and the sufferings too, will also stand me in good stead when my time to stand before the judgement throne of God has come. I know this, it is my hope, maybe just a tiny seed, but I try to believe this because the Bible tells me so.”  

Reflect, share, Scripture:  If any one among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. Ecological education can take place in a variety of settings: at school, in families, in the media, catechesis and elsewhere. I would stress the great importance of the family which is the place in which life – the gift of God – can be properly welcomed and protected against the many attacks to which it is exposed and can develop in accordance with what constitutes authentic human growth. In the family we first learn how to show love and respect for life, respect for the local ecosystem and care for all creatures. Integral education enables us to grow harmoniously in personal maturity.   LS 213   ACTION. Consider what the “seeds of hope” means for you.
