Instead of saying, “he loves me, he loves me not,” she said, “good news, bad news, good news, bad news.” Then she said, “if I was talking about faith where would it end, good news or bad news?” “Good news,” came the response. “Well, we’ve been taught that the gospel is Good News. But listen to the stories in the Bible and hear how many are about a struggle in society, a struggle between good and evil one could say. Certainly each of the prophets was constantly preaching that the good news is God’s constant care in an ongoing battle against the bad news of wars and violence, sin and destruction. The prophets were the righteous men and women of the day. Who are our righteous ones to work together ?
