24th November.  Jesus.   Margaret once challenged the Sacred Heart Sodality members about the wording on their Tshirts. “Yes, we do see Jesus as meek, mild and humble but is that your favourite image of him? There are different images and sometimes I can relate better to the one where he overturns the tables of the money-changers and chases those selling sacrificial animals away. I want the Jesus I hope to meet one day to be a powerful kingly figure.”

Reflect, share, Scripture.  Jesus entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold, saying to them, “it is written, ‘my house shall be a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of robbers. Luke 19:45-48.   Pope Francis:  May our concern for the poor always be marked by Gospel realism. Spirit-led discernment is demanded, in order to recognise the genuine needs of our brothers and sisters.  What the poor need is certainly our humanity, our hearts open to love.
