Granny Joan talked sometimes about her dreams and how she has seen and talked with God and also remembers her dreams when she wakes up. “That’s weird,” her granddaughter said, “and scary too. I don’t know that I would want to experience that.” “Dreams are part of our culture you know, ”Granny explained. Others shared how they feel God’s presence in prayer, sometimes in the beauty of nature, or its awesome force and also in the closeness of relationships. “The important thing is to be open to an experience of God, and to remember that God is present. In that way we can really grow to love God more and learn to listen to his voice.”
