July 27.  God’s presence. Granny Joan talked sometimes about her dreams and how she has seen and talked with God and also remembers her dreams when she wakes up. “That’s weird,” her granddaughter said, “and scary too. I don’t know that I would want to experience that.”  “Dreams are part of our culture you know, ”Granny explained. Others shared how they feel God’s presence in prayer, sometimes in the beauty of nature, or its awesome force and also in the closeness of relationships. “The important thing is to be open to an experience of God, and to remember that God is present.  In that way we can really grow to love God more and learn to listen to his voice.”

Scripture The Lord said to Moses, “Behold I am coming to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you and may also believe you for ever.”  Exodus 19:9-10.   Pope Francis. Family prayer is a special way of expressing and strengthening faith.  A few minutes each day, a few simple words, asking for help in showing love, giving thanks for life and blessings and asking Our Lady for her protection. AL318.   When we see God reflected in all that exists, our hearts are moved to praise the Lord for all his creatures and to worship him in union with them as St Francis did in his Canticle of the Creatures.  LS 87.
