October 29.   Mrs Mason’s children were a bit shocked when their mother shared how she felt, but her friend did understand.  After her husband died Mrs Mason had shared, “ I see death in a different light now. I really don’t want to carry on living alone for years and years.” But Mrs Adam nevertheless encouraged her, saying that in time she might realise that there was a lot she could do, for her family and the bigger church family too.  You’ve always been active, so just wait and see how you feel in time.”

Scripture:  For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain. If it is to be life in the flesh that means fruitful labour for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell.  Philip. 1:18-26. Pope Francis:   Let us not waste energy by dwelling on the distant past.   The better we live on this earth, the greater the happiness we will be able to share with our loved ones in heaven.
