June 16.  Youth Day SA. SEE. Every year on this day of commemoration of the 1976 Youth uprising the different youth groups, altar servers, choirs, Children of Mary, young adults, and confirmation candidates organised an event and invited the parish youth who were not actively involved to join them.  There had to be music and dancing of course but to commemorate the big 50th anniversary and because of current social problems in the area they decided to have a workshop too. the theme would be “Youth, the Family and AI” to be presented by one of the dads, an AI technology expert. They had already prepared for this through discussion in their groups and families that made it more exciting because the youth and the parents wanted to know and understand the issues and how the spirit of the kingdom could come across. “When and how can you believe what is true and what is fake?”  That was a relevant question in the light of so many corruption cases that have come before the law lately, but also how false stories about celebrities are a form of abuse.   

JUDGE. Reflect, share. Scripture.  Your Father who is in heaven makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.   You must be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect.   Read Matt 5:43-48. Yet rapid technological transformations reveal just how unprepared we are on the educational level. The pervasiveness of digital media fosters a culture of immediacy and hyper-stimulation, which gives rise to fatigue, boredom and apathy concerning the effort required for seeking the truth.  MH 139
