May 16.  Prayers of Petition.  SEE.    As encouraged by the parish family life team May was a true parenting month for parents and for their children.  They had stressed that all parents, including single mothers and fathers, had obligations to provide the love and care theY need. “You know,” Joseph added, “even those carers or grandparents looking after children are acting as parents.   They can all spend some time considering what would be the greatest gift they could ask for from God, individually and for their families.  There are many things, spiritual and worldly but a real effort could be made to pray as a family, apart from individual devotions and prayers.”

JUDGE.  Reflect, share, act. Scripture.    Truly, truly I say to you, “if you ask anything of the Father he will give it to you in my name. ask and receive that your joy may be full.” John 16:23-28. Pope Francis:  “I would like to ask you, dear families, do you pray together from time to time as a family?  Some of you do, but so many people say to me: But how?”  “As the tax collector does, it is clear: humbly before God. In prayer, our limited human possibilities are joined to the infinite possibilities of God.
