He said, “Maybe, but when I hear them complaining it makes me wonder if they’ve lost their saltiness.  I prefer to look at the SVP who you don’t see in church all the time but they are out there doing stuff for others.” “Maybe the light of the world people are those who lead the organisations helping others, or teaching.” “During the recent terrible floods in KZN you could see a lot of such women, men and some of our youth, like me and Joanne too, getting involved collecting food and clothes.”  

Reflect, share and act.  Scripture.   “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste how shall its saltiness be restored? You are the light of the world, a city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Matt 5:13-16.  Pope Francis:  Self-improvement on the part of individuals will not by itself remedy the extremely complex situation facing our world today. Social problems must be addressed by community networks. The work of dominating the world calls for a union of skills and a unity of achievement that can only grow from a mindset of ecological conversion. This is also a community conversion. LS219
