October 15. What church and why? Fr Jabulani asked, “Why do people go to some churches and not others?  Is it the quality of the preaching, the personality of the preacher or the type of worship with song and dance?   Is it healing that they are seeking, or a message that speaks to them in their hearts?”  Anthea suggested, “You could ask what attracted people to Jesus, because his message wasn’t easy.  Yet people crowded round Jesus to hear his wisdom.  He challenged them but at the same time told them how valuable and loved they were for God.  Where and how do we still feel that kind of sense of being valued and belonging?  Do we hear about the value of the family?  In some churches too we hear more about the value of creation and how Jesus spoke about that. “

Even the hairs of your head are numbered. You are of more value than many sparrows. From Luke12:1-7    Pope Francis. The Church is a family of families, constantly enriched by the lives of all those domestic churches. The Church is good for the family and the family is good for the Church. The safeguarding of the Lord’s gift in the sacrament of matrimony is a concern not only of individual families but of the entire Christian community.   AL87. Reflect, share, act and pray.
