February 5.    One night as the family were discussing commitment Jocelyn commented about faithfulness and adultery.  “Many people don’t seem to care these days, but others are really prepared to stand up for what is right.   Some also believe it is not their business what others do and they don’t interfere. Doesn’t that give bad example to the youth and cheapen what true love and commitment are really meant to be?” Maudi said, “I find it really interesting that we learned that some animals and birds too stay with the same partner all their lives.” 

Herod had seized John and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias his brother Philip’s wife because he had married her. John had said to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”  Mark 6:14-29
