October 21.  Thandi explained, “I have discovered that if I have the right attitude and a strong relationship with God, then I can put up with a lot of the hassles that are really quite common in any family life.  For me God must come first even if at times that causes conflict because of the high standards and values of honesty and integrity that God expects.  I really do admire Margaret, who became a whistle-blower, as she reported the fraud she discovered within their family circle. I know that you don’t have to like every family member,  but you don’t literally hate them, you somehow still have to love them, even if you denounce them. Maybe that is part of true love.”  

Jesus said, “I came to cast fire upon the earth.  Do you think I have come to give peace on earth?   No, rather division. Father against son and son against father, mother against daughter.” Luke 12:49-53.  Pope Francis:  We have had enough of immorality and the mockery of ethics, goodness, faith and honesty.  Once the foundations of social life are corroded what ensues are battles over conflicting interests.  Let us return to promoting the good, for ourselves and the whole human family and thus advance together towards an authentic and integral growth.
