SEE.   Fr Thabo said, “seeing that we now have an Augustinian Pope, who loves to quote from St Augustine we better learn more about this early African saint.  He was a brilliant worldly young man who, like St Paul, also received a call to conversion and became one of the greatest saints in his time and one of the greatest theologians of all time.   We also remember his mother on 27 August and thank God for all mothers who pray constantly for the good of their children, especially for the blessing of their relationship with God. Our parish RCIA team will be asked to share with me in leading some discussion on St Augustine’s life and work.”

Recognizing in the poor the face of Christ is an instrument of charity.
