10 January. SEE: HURT PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE. Brian saw this sign on a picture poster, when he was sitting and waiting to see his psychologist. He had grown away from his family since the big fight with his brother over his father’s estate years ago. Like many people he was feeling depressed and seeking help. The psychologist was delayed and he sat for a long time staring at that poster. Many thoughts went through his mind as he retraced memories of earlier times. Sometime he smiled a little or frowned. When he got up and left without keeping his appointment the receptionist smiled knowlingly to herself and tucked away her rosary. She had seen it happen before.
JUDGE, reflect and share. Scripture: If anyone says ‘I love God’ and hates his brother he is a liar, for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. 1 John 4:19. Pope Francis: Today’s world is largely a deaf world. We must not lose our ability to listen. Saint Francis heard the voice of God, he heard the voice of the poor. He heard the voice of the infirm and he heard the voice of nature. He made of them a way life. FT 48, Pope Leo: Peace exists; it wants to dwell within us. It has the gentle power to enlighten and expand our understanding; it resists and overcomes violence. Peace is a breath of the eternal. While to evil we cry out “Enough,” to peace we whisper “Forever.” PM
