They discussed, “Pope Francis’ continually challenges us to help others and share with the poor.  But we’re inclined to get sceptical about the beggars at traffic lights and those rather wildly enthusiastic traffic controllers who seem to have taken over directing the traffic when robots don’t work.”  “However we should say that the protests and demonstrations about land, service delivery and jobs are the kind of thing that Luke could also have been talking about.”  “When we are in need our real friends will make God present for us in particular ways. Snakes and stones will not be the Father’s gift.  Knocking on doors and asking is a risk but can eventually get results.”

Pope Francis:  Pastoral care for families needs to make it clear that the Gospel of the family responds to the deepest expectations of the human person, a response to each one’s dignity and fulfilment in reciprocity, communion and fruitfulness. AL 201  Action and Prayer. How generous in spirit are you? do you give freely or grudgingly? Pray: Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in us the fire of your love, so that walking together we may renew the face of the earth.
