January 25.  on this feast of the Conversion of St Paul Jocelyn shared with two of her sodality friends.  “I wonder whether the executive members of our sodality really identify with Jesus, his love and compassion for the poor and for hurting families, or are they more concerned about the constitution, organization and planning for the next conference.” “Let’s hope it is some at least of both”  

The scribes said of him, “he is possessed and by the prince of demons he casts out the demons.”  Jesus called them to him and said, “How can Satan cast out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, it cannot stand.”   Mark 3:22-30.  

Pope Francis. I say no to spiritual worldliness which hides behind the appearance of piety and even love for the Church.  It consists in seeking not the Lord’s glory but human glory and personal wellbeing. It is what the Lord reprimanded the Pharisees for. It is a subtle way of seeking one’s own interests not those of Jesus Christ.  EG 93.   Reflect and share.
