March 28.  Special Jubilee event: 24 hours with the lord.   Whoever is wise let him understand.   As the senior member of the family around the half-way mark through Lent Josh led the sharing. “I don’t know if we really value what God has to offer.  He continues to beg us to come back to him, telling us he has more to offer than the idols we make for ourselves.  Are glamour, money, rich friends, going to parties really what life is all about?  The 24 Hours with the Lord is a great opportunity for us to reflect on where we stand with him and others.” Everyone was given a chance to respond.  

Reflect, share and act. Scripture: O Ephraim what have I to do with idols? It is I who answer and look after you. Whoever is wise let him understand, whoever is discerning let him know for the ways of the Lord are right and the upright walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them.   Hosea 14: 9.   Pope Francis: JUBILEE. The indulgence is a way of discovering the unlimited nature of God’s mercy which knows no bounds.  The sacrament of Reconciliation is not only a magnificent spiritual gift, but also a decisive, essential and fundamental step on our journey of faith. There, we allow the Lord to erase our sins, to heal our hearts, to raise us up, to embrace us and to reveal to us his tender and compassionate countenance. There is no better way to know God than to let him reconcile us to himself (cf. 2 Cor 5:20) and savour his forgiveness.
