September 3.     Jonathan also shared in the family group, “I found learning about science and evolution at school really fascinating but difficult too. Our teacher showed us this timeline.  Over, like 13.8 billion years, the universe was formed and evolved and it continues to evolve, or you can say being created. Our own earth evolved from an empty void to the beginnings of life, billions of years later, first as unicellular organisms which could generate themselves.  Then in time male and female life forms differentiated and sexual reproduction became the method for plants and later animals and eventually people.  And so the process of evolution continues and is in fact dependent on this amazing ability of co-creation.    

Christ Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of creation, for in him all things were created in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible.  Col 1:15-20.  Pope Francis:  The universe did not emerge as the result of arbitrary omnipotence, a show of force or a desire for self-assertion.  Creation is of the order of love. God’s love is the fundamental moving force in all created things. LS77. The sheer novelty involved in the emergence of a personal being within a material universe presupposes a direct action of God and a particular call to life and to relationship. LS81.
