February  6.  Grandad said, “I am not too hung up about historical truth or different theories about creation.  I just love to read and reflect on the way the writers describe the events in a loving kind of  way.   God was there, the Spirit of God was there and God was pleased with what he had done.  I wish we could all say that about the things we create.  Don’t you agree that can be something to pray about? Having read Genesis 1:1-19 Reflect, share, act and pray.      

Scripture: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void. Darkness was upon the face of the deep and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters. Genesis 1. Pope Francis:  A spirituality which forgets God as all-powerful and Creator is not acceptable.  That is how we end up worshipping earthly powers or ourselves usurping the place of God to the point of claiming a right to trample his creation underfoot.   LS 75
