February 10.   Grandad mused, “There have been different theories about the creation from all different faiths.   Some people do literally believe the Biblical account that God created in 7 days while science continues to research into the origin of the whole universe. Science and religion with their distinct approaches contribute much to our growing understanding, especially of our role as human beings.  I love to read and reflect on all that.  God was there, the spirit of God was there and God was pleased with what he had made.   I just wish we could say that about everything we have made too.”

Scripture:  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters. GENESIS 1:1-19. Pope Francis:  The creation accounts in the book of Genesis contain in their own symbolic and narrative language profound teaching about human existence and its historical reality. They suggest that human life is grounded in three fundamental relationships; with God, with our neighbour and with the earth. LS 66.  JUBILEE.  May the Jubilee be a Holy Year marked by the hope that does not fade, our hope in God.
