The example of the horrific war in Ukraine and the millions of people dispossessed and becoming refugees has highlighted the horrors of war but also how incredibly hospitable and generous people can be when a serious need arises.”

The pandemic enabled us to recognize and appreciate all those, who in the midst of fear, responded by putting their lives on the line. Our lives are interwoven with and sustained by ordinary people valiantly shaping events of our shared history; doctors, nurses and workers of all kinds.
